CANADIAN THANKSGIVING

Hi everyone, welcome to Canadian Thanksgiving. It's just like American Thanksgiving, only earlier, and probably better. Everyone in this school who has lived in Canada for even a second is invited, and can invite their friends if they really want to. Dinah even invited her son, Lazer, and he's from, like, Arkansas.

It's not a big production, but there's food, there's friends, and there's good conversation. Come gather around the table, eat some delicious food, and try to not feel homesick. Maybe they can all come to a consensus on what movie has the most cute boys in it.

After dinner is over, Paige Ripley is running the Hand Turkey Crafting Station! There's construction paper, pens, feathers, glitter, like whatever you might need to make a truly badass hand turkey. After you're done, put a blindfold on and play Pin the Hat on the Turkey! Stick your turkey to the wall and help it get a beautiful new accessory, because literally no outfit can't be improved by a pilgrim hat.

HOW THIS WORKS

This is during dinner. Don't go to regular dinner, come to cooler, more polite dinner.

Dinah looks at the knife in her hand. Then at another one sitting next to her on the table. Then at the tape nearby for Pin the Hat on the Turkey. Then she looks at the three again, like she's putting things together, like numbers are flying through her vision as she sits there. What if—wait, no, she's almost got this, what if—OH, WHAT IF SHE WAS BRILLIANT???

"You are a GENIUS," Dinah says, and she's already grabbing the tape and wrapping it around her hand, a way too sharp knife sticking out at an awkward angle. This is already going well.

"You," she pauses, examining Dinah's newly weaponized limb, looking like an expert on experimental war tech, for dramatic effect. "Look like a super hero." This is very definitive, delivered with a smirk and wide, excited eyes. "One from the future who came to save us from an almost unavoidable Apocalypse!" Okay now we're developing a backstory to main a turkey. Sure. Whatever.

Now Nisha's pointing at the turkey. God help us. "Go for it, Knife Hands!!"

Dinah stabs at the turkey, but the knife on the back of her hand is kind of cockeyed and poorly secured. It twists to the right and just kind of makes a weak slice through it.

"You know what I think this needs," Dinah says, grabbing more tape. "More knives."

Nisha frowns at the failure of a first attempt, but quickly brightens at Dinah's suggestion. "One for EACH finger," she agrees. "Hold up."

And with that, she's off, gathering up an amalgamation of knives ranging in sharpness from carving to serrated plastic butter knife. She holds them all up when she returns, looking proud. Like a puppy. "Dude your hand turkey's gonna look sick."
