ARCHIMEDES' TEMPERAMENT ALTERING TINCTURE

ARCHIMEDES' TEMPERAMENT ALTERING TINCTURE
The weather's not as awful as it was yesterday, but there's something else in the air. Something sinister. The sophomores are acting oddly again. Cassius Holcomb sees Archimedes Rose walking with purpose, a huge thermos cradled in his arms. If they had wanted to stop and question him, they're unfortunately too slow and quickly lose track of him on the trails. He does absolutely nothing to stop him.
Oscar Zabinsky comes across the remains of the sophmoot, and finds a small cup that still has a bit of clearly magical liquid in the bottom. For whatever reason, they decide to drink it. Incredibly, indescribably unwise.
ยป DR. JEKYLL: For the first hour, those who drink Archie's potions find themselves in a lovely state of mind. They're practically angelic.
ยป MR. HYDE: ... And then after the hour passes, the dam breaks, and all impulse control goes out the window.

Oscar Zabinsky comes across the remains of the sophmoot, and finds a small cup that still has a bit of clearly magical liquid in the bottom. For whatever reason, they decide to drink it. Incredibly, indescribably unwise.
HOW THIS WORKS
- Archie, Hero, London, Paris, Nisha, Corrigan, Tuesday, Natalie, Marie, Dinah,, Violet and Griffin all meet by the Ornery Oak after lunch to take the potion Archie's spent the last month working on.
- It's designed to trick Bluebell the unicorn by temporarily suppressing moral failings or personality flaws.
- The potion appears as a dark green, lightly smoking liquid. It tastes tart and a little boozy, like sour apple vodka and cold medicine.
- Hero is insisting that no one can drink the potion until they sign a waiver.
- The good news is that it works!
- The characters who drink it will feel content, stable-minded, and compassionate. They will act according to their own moral compass, positive personality traits, and how they perceive goodness.
- It won't erase their personalities, though! They'll simply feel like a better version of themselves. This could lead to them feeling too guilty to try and trick Bluebell. Maybe they'll confess to something they feel guilty about, or perhaps tell someone their true feelings. Maybe they'll do that homework they were putting off. YOU DECIDE WHAT YOUR MONSTER WOULD BE LIKE IF THEY WERE AN ANGEL FOR A DAY.
- The primary side effects are mild giddiness and a purple tongue.
- This will last about an hour.
- Whether this did or didn't fool Bluebell is up to you. She's a pretty savvy unicorn, and it may not work, so these little terrors might be trying again later.
- The bad news is that Archie didn't anticipate the after-effects.
- After the hour has passed, all those repressed negative traits will come back in a rush.
- Those who drank the potion will feel their negative traits being especially strong and their impulse control will be at an all time low.
- This effect lasts only about thirty minutes, luckily.
- Some characters may leave the whole incident with a mild headache.
- If you have a character not on the list that you would like to have participate... you might be out of luck. Sorry. Archie's skittish. :( The exceptions are if we've discussed them being friends and they've only just entered the game (Griffin) or they've made an incredibly good impression on him (ToddnCash). I can probably justify their participation. But honestly, don't inflict this on your sweet babies.
- The Upperclassman B volunteer can participate in the event, but I hope everyone makes fun of them for drinking random potions out of discarded cups in the middle of the forest.

DR. JEKYLL
Dr. Dinah Danger
Bluebell will almost undoubtedly disagree with that sentiment, but Dinah thinks it's basically a given.
"Then I'm gonna draw a comic about it—about us, so everyone pick out their superhero names. And powers. And origin stories."
Marie et al.
There were a thousand ideas running through her mind, each of them, she's sure, better than the last. Maybe she'd write a song about this later. Maybe it'd be beautiful. The thought startles her a little bit. Creativity was nothing new for her, but the impulse to work, to make something — that was unusual. She usually got distracted first. Or discouraged. Or she would just lose interest. But not today!
Marie spins to the person beside her, grabbing their arm, with uncharacteristic care. "Do you feel different? I think I do!" She presses a hand
melodramatically to her chest as she speaks. Then, she turns back to the group. "Archie, you're so talented. Have you always known you were this good at potions?"Marie et al.

Re: Marie et al.
A Better Weekday
They are, predictably, quite simple, but at least focused on the unicorn. "It's rude to go in Empty-handed, isn't it?? Should we design a nice Carrot bouquet? I can do that! I can cook!"
(Maybe produce arrangement isn't cooking, precisely, but don't tell her that.)
Oscar Zabinsky
As he's rummaging through the bushes to find his shoe, he comes across... a magical potion! Hey! Look at this. It seems fresh, and the way the potion swirls in it's little cup was really compelling. Forgetting his head and any sort of sense about him, because Oscar is quite a bit of an idiot and easily drawn to shiny objects - he takes the last sip.
It didn't taste all that bad, and for a few moments he feels absolutely nothing. How disappointing! Oh, but there's the shoe and --
Whoosh.
He feels great. Look, his shoe isn't even damaged! A little dirty, but that's no big deal. He can't help but laugh loudly at the entire situation, quickly putting the shoe on his now very dirty sock and treading back towards the trail. He thought briefly about heading back to his cabin - he should really apologize to Jaime for being such a brat during their practices, but there'd be so many people mulling around the lodge on a Saturday and the thought of heading there to have a bit of a laugh with some of his friends sounded tempting.
Maybe he'd meet Jaime there, and he could apologize then. Lachlan, too. He didn't need to apologize but he just really wanted to see his roommates and give them all very large hugs. So much so, in fact, that he penned a little note to them in his journal. Vee, too. He loved her and it was time to let her know that, wasn't it?
Resolved, Oscar made his way from the forest trail to the Lodge - frequently interrupted by passerby's he joked with. He was clearly in the sort of I'll-eat-that-gross-thing-for-a-dollar kind of mood.
Griffin is MOTIVATED(??)
Griffin knocks his portion back, thinking that this thing tastes a lot better than the offerings at most grotto parties. "Hey, this isn't too bad!" He says, a rush of energy washing over him. And then his problems seem suddenly very small. And he thinks to himself that he really should get to know his friends better. But he also realizes that he's been putting off working on this personal astronomy project he's had in mind. And he's so inspired. Why is he always putting things off? And why does he blindly listen to other people all the time? And who cares about what a horny horse thinks, anyway?
Griffin plops down on the ground, pulls his backpack into his lap and produces a notebook and a pen. "You guys let me know if you need any help with that unicorn."
Griffin's got to solve the mysteries of the universe.
Griffin is not alone!
Griffin is not alone!
Hero is not drinking this potion.
Hero writes "excessive smiling" under the list of effects.
Hero finds someone is grabbing his hand.
MR. HYDE
Oz and Vee, trouble in paradise
As they're standing there chatting, Oscar finally works up the courage. "I've been wanting to tell you something." He blurts out, cutting her sentence off. Running his hand through his hair, he bites his lip for a moment or two before he finally stands up a little straighter and smiles.
"Vee, I love you."

The Hyde Holloways
The buzzing swarm of bad feelings in her head finds a target when London's eyes land on her mirror image. "Excuse me, is that my shirt?" she demands, stomping over to her sister.
