Hi everyone, I'd like to take a minute to remind you all that curfew is at 10PM. This means that students need to be at their respective house campgrounds at that time. You don't need to turn in or even stick to your cabin - so long as you're at your camp site you can visit with friends. Of course, while doing this please respect the wishes and rules of that cabin's prefect. And, as always, if there is an emergency, please find the nearest prefect and speak with them before leaving your camp. We unfortunately cannot be flexible on these rules, as it is a safety matter.

The other issue I wanted to discuss was the recent bout of pranking going on. We all like to tease our friends, but think before you goof on someone! Would you be upset if the joke you want to play were played on you, instead? Then maybe it isn't an appropriate joke. Everyone has different tolerance levels for that kind of thing, and that's okay. Respect your fellow students' wishes. Don't take a joke too far. Nobody deserves to feel unhappy or unsafe here at Gooseberry.

So, in sum, be safe and be cool and you'll get on just fine. That about wraps it up. If you have any questions or concerns or [...] anything you want to tell me about recent going on, I'm happy to listen! Thanks all for your cooperation! We appreciate it!

I was worried I was wondering Do you think that it would be helpful to have some kind of [...] emergency warning system? Some way of telling other prefects that something's happening, if they aren't always around their journals? Should we always be around our journals? When everything was going on last night, if we needed real more help, it might have helped to have something that works kind of like an emergency flare to let other prefects know we needed someone or something. Even if it's a way to make the journals make noise to wake other prefects up [...] although that would also wake up their roommates. I don't know what I mean?

That's a really good idea Kurt! It's a shame cell phones don't work, but it might not be a bad idea to ask the staff about getting walkie-talkies, maybe?

Figuring out a way to ping journals isn't a bad idea, either, but I know people probably don't want to be tied to those.
