A warmer destination might make for a more popular vote. But I think ocean winters are better.
You could get more people on that side by reminding them how many fatal plants and animals are in tropical places. (Which sounds like a pro, now that I write it.)

I do prefer the cold. But I would enjoy studying deadly plants and animals. Particularly the poisons. But only for academic purposes.
