I think with siblings it is more of a mutually assured destruction scenario. They have the leverage on you but you have an equal amount on them, and there's a mutual understanding and power balance. Plus, it is much more useful to protect the family and destroy others together.

But then you have my brother who enables your secrets and covers for you to your parents. But I am sure the dynamic with seven siblings is far too different to make a general statement.
