Oh, I know what you're thinking, but there will be no scolding or lecturing from your local prefect today. I promise. Actually, I've just been struck by the realization that 2013 has barrelled by shockingly quickly, and only promises to get busier, what with exams and Drama rehearsals and Winter Formal. Everyone's trying to keep our heads above the water and not drown from the stress (not Ras, obviously, he's a strong swimmer and stress-impervious), but... it's the holidays, and we should remember to cherish the time we spend together. We've been rainbow trout for three years and three months now, and in June, we'll be graduating and leaving Ribbonfin forever.

Thank god, you're thinking to yourselves. Soon I will escape the suffocating boa constrictor hold of Ravi's fussing. Ah yes, but until then, might I suggest we have a little get-together, just the ten of us? This weekend's going to be exceptionally crowded, so next week, perhaps? Please let me know what you all think. It can be just a few hours in the boys' cabin, catching up and relaxing. We can have hot chocolate, and I'll clean out Event Committee's supply of pastries.

Tch, we are all very fond of your fussing. But, yes, yes, this is a wonderful idea. (Maybe we can even pull each other around in sleds by the riverbank and pretend like we are having far more naughty fun than we actually are?) Everything is getting very stressful lately and I am going to miss all of you so much over break... and even more after graduation. But we can worry about that closer to June or I will just start to get very, very sad.

Ah, but I do not think I can be so nice today, so now I must ask you the very most important question of the day: are you going to the Winter Formal? It is our very last one, so you must, yes?

Please don't tell me that's sarcasm, Ivy. I'm feeling unbearably sentimental right now. Really. It's why I keep making so many terrible jokes.

Anyway, I can't talk about my ridiculous emotions surrounding graduation or else Tabitha will yell at me. (Sweetly and kindly, of course.) So instead I'll plead with you to leave the dissertation for a night and come party with us next week. I'm even banning myself from sitting in a corner and reading, so you know I'm being deadly serious about this being a party.

Definitely into this idea - the year really is going fast, so it would be nice to have some time all together. Ideally this won't be the last get-together of ours though! Next week is a fine idea.

Also your fussing isn't so much a boa constrictor as a seatbelt secured a little too tightly. :)

Normally I don't do this but I'm going to have a moment of weakness here.. I petrified about graduating. I don't want to leave. Let me know if you need any help planning this thing!

Oh, you know me, I have to do everything way ahead of time. But I'm trying to pace myself. I'll save our graduation party for February, and our high school reunion for July.

And yes, thank you, Asher. That's a far superior visual. Uncomfortable, but still made to protect you all from the dangers of this cold, cruel world.

It's alright, Anuhea offered her help already. Which I'm thankful for, because as it turns out, I know nothing about "parties" and "having fun."

And you're welcome about the column. I know I should contribute as well, but I reached the second question and it just made me remember when I realized I couldn't become a doctor like my parents how I'd never be normal again I don't know if this is what I want those old muggleborn anxieties I had when I was much, much younger. I'm sorry, I should sit down and write something for them.
