Pros of Regular Prom

Less likely to get in trouble for breaking school rules

Less likely to find yourself trapped in an endless nightmarescape

Less likely to die of starvation and exposure

The theme is kind of cool

It's at a freaking gothic mansion

Pros of Anti-Prom

You could become the thrall of a fantastic mystical creature that, even if it's actually hideous, will make you believe it's beautiful.

It's more dangerous so technically more cool.

Outdoor dances are more romantic, I think.

When you die, you're pretty much guaranteed to be famous assuming they don't just cover all this up.

When you account for the possibility of drowning or contracting ebola, starvation and exposure aren't that bad in comparison.

The Masque of Red Death definitely took place in a mansion and not a forest.

I hope this helps everyone's decision-making process.

So I know we all keep joking about how we're going to die, but do you guys still want to go to the Grotto to tell 2 to stop? I'm guessing if you guys are going to Anti-Prom, you don't mind the idea of going to the Grotto, [...] but I didn't expect Ree to get so upset at everyone?

If we can get 2 or 2's brother or whoever to stop or at least find out SOMETHING that will help make this stop, then I'm okay with dealing with Ree being angry with me, but she's your best friend so if you want to back out, I'd understand.

If you don't want to be using your journal right now, I can come talk to you about this in-person instead.

We can talk here, I just didn't want to get into an argument with anyone. Especially not Ree. She's going to be angry no matter what, but I'd like to cut down on the yelling matches.

I still think it's important that we try. I know [...] some people think it's targeting me, but what if it was actually going after Dimi? Isn't it usually trying to get attention from the seniors? I don't want to sit and twiddle my thumbs just because someone might get angry with me.

Agreed. Just hoping that everything will get better isn't going to do any good. And I get why people think it's targeting you, but [...] you're right, Dimi's the one who saw something. It took Ulysses, but was that actually about Cricket? Every time it's interacted wth our class, it seemed more interested in helping us? So why would you be any different?
