Hey guys, have you heard? There's a Cotillion happening!
(jk jk sorry bad joke)
[Warded to Vee, Chloe, Ursula, Rosy, Addy, and Ollie]
If I wanted to really, really irritate my birth parents by going to Cotillion, looking beautiful and having a very good, proper and handsome date...who could I take?
Like, I want them to realize what they missed out o
Suggestions? Nevermind on that front, got a date.
Now I just need to look devastatingly beautiful.
[Warded to Ollie]
♥ How's it going?

Them Girls
What does your mother[Rosy]
Have you heard from your mother?
Them Girls
[Ursula]
Got an owl this morning. Had to make sure my measurements were still the same.
Them Girls
[Rosy]
Is she trusting you to select your own escort? I [...] expect my mother will be following her cues. The owl's bound to arrive any minute.
"Now you know I'm not like these Society mothers and I won't force you into anything, but I'm sure you realize what an excellent opportunity this is to establish connections for the future..."
Ursula/Rosy
Are you takiAs long as we're willing to ditch our dates and schmooze with someone more acceptable once we're actually there.Ursula/Rosy
Ursula/Rosy
I'm going with Reid, actually. He wants to bail and go see Xavier, and my parents might still think he's a Chicago pureblood they'll never admit to not knowing.
And I mightI'm sure Ferdie would have more fun with someone who can pay him more attention.Ursula/Rosy
Oh, I suppose that's a rather clever plan of his. He ducks one way, you duck for the champagne bottles?
[...] You know Ferdie better than I do, is this something you would inflict on him? Highschool dances are one thing, this is [...] an entirely different beast.
Ursula/Rosy
I [...] might try and duck out, too. Chris isn't too far from New York, and it
might bewould be nice to see him.Sy ditches these things all the time, why can'tBut the more I think about it, the moreit fucking terrifies mI like the idea of finding the most expensive unguarded bottle of champagne available instead. It's more my speed.I [...] wouldn't subject him to my parents, but I don't think he'd hate it? He's polite, he's smart, he doesn't run his mouth, adults love him. It might be a bit of a culture shock, but [...] with the right company, he would probably actually enjoy himself.
Ursula/Rosy
I still don't see the appeal but I know you like him a great deal and I would have thought you'd leap at a chance to see himWell this should be some of the most exorbitantly priced champagne we've ever had before. I expect to find pearls in the bottom of my bottle. And it's not too far off from winter break, is it? You can visit him then."The right company"? You can say it. It's no secret I've been chasing the poor boy for months and he [...] doesn't seem to mind it.
And he doesn't have a sister, so there's no risk of getting dumped for being too much like you or MinaAnd [...] yes, he is very much all of those things. Exceedingly competent at tucking his shirt in was among the first things that caught my eye. He's managed to survive two whole months as Head Boy without anyone setting the school on fire, he can probably survive one night of Society?Ursula/Rosy
God that sounds pretentious as fuck, RosemaryUgh, I'll probably be going back and forth on whether or not I've got it in me to try and slip away until that night. Sy doesn't think I've got the guts to do it, which means I have to prove how much I do. But also I actually might not.The idea of Dad yelling at me like he does at Sy mI don't know, look at what Ribbonfin has done to me.Ah, should we all be so lucky to have such an experienced and well-behaved shirt tucker on our arm. And he never balks when you try to fix his collar or tell him he's got a mark on his face. I think he was practically made for being dragged along to society functions.
Did you kids have a good time at the Halloween dance?
Ursula/Rosy
I did go through a very extensive process of reviewing potential prom companions last year and he scores superbly in a number of categories. And he's younger than me. By less than a year, of course, but I still think my mother would approve.
[...] Yes. I was highly tempted to pull him into a dark corner, but I had those damn vampire fangs in and he deserves at least one kissing experience where no one's trying to seriously maim him.
Ursula/Rosy
I think your mother and I would both much rather see you with a high-scoring date less than a year younger than you than delving into the junior and sophomore classes. Those kids are... intense, and possibly all psychically linked.
You know the maiming builds character. But I'm sure that won't be your only opportunity. I'm not sure if you've heard, but it sounds like some people are talking about slipping away from this cotillion thing.
Ursula/Rosy
They're monsters. I have barely a handful of them to deal with in Event Committee and I'm still checking the mirror every day for my first gray hair. And you know... I'm not going to think too hard on the fact that if I wanted to properly follow in my mother's footsteps then my best options are out playing recess right now.
[...] Maybe I'll slip a pair of fangs inside my hand bag just in case.
